Food Trucks have become extremely trendy and are popping up everywhere, even Fort Mill. The newest one is Gourmet Goombahs serving up, you guessed it, delicious Italian Food. They have a large menu for a food truck: Italian sandwiches (meatball sub, chicken parmesan), salads, pizza, burgers, and hot dogs.
We caught up with them last weekend at the ASC Greenway during Fall Fest. They’ll be back there this weekend from 10-10 on Saturday and 1-6 on Sunday. If you can’t catch up with them then, follow Gourmet Goombahs on Facebook or on Twitter at @GGoumbahs to stay up to date on their schedule. They can often be found at Triple C Brewing in Southend.
Pictured above is The Ditomasso ($7) with lightly breaded chicken and caramelized onions, bacon, and basil topped with melted fresh mozzarella cheese. It’s delicious! All menu items are reasonably priced, most sandwiches and burgers are $6. Be sure to try the cannoli! It’s fabulous. All food is made to order by Chef Rob Pizzo and he knows what he’s doing.

That sandwich looks so good. Food trucks are just starting to take off here too (Australia), though very slowly.
I just love food trucks! I think they are going to be very popular for quite some time!
