As far as Italian food in Fort Mill, it doesn’t get any better than the St Philip Neri Italian Festival. And lots of people know it. According to the Fort Mill Times, more than 800 pounds of homemade sausage as well as 850 pounds of meatballs are handmade by parishoners each year.
This year’s festival, which is the 18th Annual, will be held from Thursday May 16th to Saturday May 18th at St Philip Neri Church on Munn Rd in Fort Mill. The festival schedule and set up will be similar to previous years, but this year there will be a new event- the Cannoli Fun Run. This 4k Run will take place Saturday May 18th at 8:30am. Fifty percent of the proceeds will benefit Fort Mill Care Center.
In addition to all kinds of Italian foods, the Festival will also feature a Pasta Sauce Cook-off, an Italian Idol Competition, games and rides for kids, arts and craft vendors, a silent and live auction, and wine and beer tastings.
