Fort Mill Neighborhood: Hamilton Place

Hamilton Place is a secluded Fort Mill Neighborhood with a fantastic location just off of Highway 160 not far from the Gold Hill Rd intersection. The lots in Hamilton Place are very large, many in excess of 1 acre and the architectural styles of the homes are varied. There is also a large range in sizes of the homes and price point. Homes start at about $275,000 and go to over $500,000 plus depending on size of home and amount of updating done.

Hamilton Place is just a short distance from Tega Cay/Lake Wylie area. Boat enthusiasts can easily spend their weekends on the beautiful waters of Lake Wylie. Plus there is the convenience of having shops and restaurants right down the street. Harris Teeter, Fort Mill BBQ Company, and Red Bowl are less than a mile away in Stockbridge Commons Shopping Center.

A short drive in the opposite direction is the Steel Creek area of Charlotte. In fact, Hamilton Place sits right on the state line and there are a few houses in the development located on the north Carolina side of the line. Rivergate Shopping Center in Steele Creek is a very popular shopping destination with a Super Target, Old Navy, Books A Million, Coldstone Creamery, City Tavern Restaurant, and BT’s Burger Joint.

Neighborhoods in close proximity to Hamilton Place include Waterstone, Spicewood, and Eppington South. Other neighborhoods in Fort Mill with extra-large lots are Tara Plantation and Lynwood Farms.

Hamilton Place is part of the award-winning Fort Mill School District. Residents attend Pleasant Knoll Elementary School, Gold Hill Middle School, and Fort Mill High School. More information on Fort Mill Schools can be found at the district website.
