Don’t let the dilapidation of the shopping center Los Aztecas is in deter you from having a meal here. Yes, the surroundings look like a perfect backdrop for an episode of cops and I’m not really sure because I haven’t wanted to examine the premises too closely, but Los Aztecas may be the only open business in the shopping center.

However the fact that there are several dozen cars in the parking lot at any given time should tell you something- a good number of people like to eat at Los Aztecas. And let’s face it, it’s slim pickins as far as restaurant establishments on this side of Fort Mill.

The infamous Chicken Con Crema

Hands down Los Azteca’s best customers have to be the Nation Ford Boys Tennis Team. During tennis season they head to Los Aztecas 2, sometimes 3 times a week for dinner after practice and to celebrate victories. Practically in unison, they order the Chicken Con Crema just about every time.

Sizzlen hot fajitas

The food at Los Aztecas is pretty good, the service is fast (almost alarmingly so), but the Margaritas could use some improvement. They are a little lacking in tequila and are made with what tastes like a poor quality mixer.

For some really delicious, authentic, freshly made Mexican food, try La Poblanita in Plaza Fiesta.

But for the convenience of a quick, close by, reliable meal we find ourselves returning to Los Aztecas again and again.
