Strawberry Festival Fort Mill

This year the weather at the Strawberry Festival was a little gloomy and chilly, but there were still bright, cheerful smiles all around. Huge crowds descended on Walter Elisha Park on both Friday and Saturday to celebrate the 4th annual SC Strawberry Festival.

Live music was performed on two stages and a huge crowd gathered Friday evening to hear the Marshall Tucker Band.

The entire park was packed with food vendors, carnival rides, arts and crafts vendors, and business vendors. There were a variety of strawberry foods including Strawberry Pie Bread from Breadsmith, deep fried strawberries, and strawberry shortcake. For the adults, there were Abita Strawberry Beers as well as several craft beer selections including NoDa Brewing’s Hop, Drop, and Roll.

Did anyone try a Krispy Kreme Burger? I was going to but then I chickened out.

Don’t know the official numbers, but it sounds like there was an even bigger crowd this year than last year when they had over 50,0000 in attendance. Not sure how they can fit many more people in Walter Elisha Park.  They may need to consider doing two full days of the festival instead of just Friday night and Saturday.
