Fun Things To Do Fort Mill Area Weekend of September 28

Dog Gone Good Times Festival- takes place at Walter Elisha Park in Fort Mill on September 29 from 10am-2pm. Lots of fun for the whole family plus your 4-legged friends. There will be a dog walk. Cost is $25 and includes event t-shirt. All funds benefit the Humane Society of York County. There will also be music, a petting zoo, face painting, BBQ, and Bruester’s Ice Cream. More info here.

Indian Land Fall Festival takes place Saturday September 29 from 10am-2pm at the City of Light off of Charlotte Highway. This popular festival draws large crowds and will include a SC Chili Cookoff and a Kids Area with inflatables, cornhole, miniature golf course, pony rides, plus appearances by Sirr Purr and Homer the Dragon. Amazing Maize Maze located at Rural Hill Farm in Huntersville is one of the best corn mazes in the area and well worth the drive. Make your way through the 7 acre maze, play some cornhole, take a wagon ride, and hike the trails of Rural Hill. Concessions available onsite. Open Friday and Saturday 10am-5pm. Night Mazes start at 6pm. Open Sunday 10am-5pm. Tickets are $10 for ages 13 and up, $7 ages 5-12, and free for 4 and under. Flashlight prices are $15, $10, and free respectively. More info here.

14thAnnual Oktoberfest at Waldhorn restaurant in Pineville takes place Friday and Saturday from 5pm-10pm inside and 5pm to midnight outside. Music this weekend by The German Connection Band. Admission is $3 for adults and children 12 and over. Outside there is a giant beer tent with dance floor and stage. Additional parking available at President James K Polk Historic Site, Haverty’s Furniture, and Savvy Spaces Furniture. More info here.

Fall Fest at Anne Springs Close Greenway is sure to be lots of fun with a corn maze, pumpkin picking, horse rides, and wagon rides. Admission is $12, $10 for Greenway members. Some activities cost extra. Saturday Sept 29 from 10am-10pm and Sunday Sept 30 from 1pm-6pm. Enter Greenway through the Highway 21 Bypass Entrance by the Nature Center.
